Easter Saturday!
How to celebrate Easter in Argentina? Actually, as in Germany! But still it was a special and wonderful Easter for me! In the morning and afternoon were typical Things we paint Easter eggs on the program. The activities and preparations for what we could do at Easter with the children, were in the hands of the volunteers, so we had free travel and so we decided that we celebrate on Easter Saturday, a Passover celebration with the children. What Jesus experienced before his death? What has he done anything yet? The questions we wanted to answer the children.
The Passover commemorates the Exodus from Egypt and every meal
has its meaning: So remember the meat of the lamb of God (sacrificial lamb) or the bitter herbs to the bitter time in Egypt! The children were divided into groups and each group was preparing something to eat before. My group prepared the unleavened bread in front, which stands for the rapid exodus from Egypt! For the children it was special to prepare such a meal and they had their fun! prepared
When all the food was we went on with the story. Jesus washed his disciples feet before the meal and we washed the children, the feet.
Then it was finally time: The potatoes were cooked fully finished and there could finally be eaten.
the children tasted the food full of good! The dessert was the highlight of course there was ..... . A Mus of grated apples, raisins, chopped walnuts and lemon juice, this part of the food was reminiscent of the clay.
course was eaten on the floor.
After dinner it was for the small or medium over and it was (pretty tired) to bed!
For the adults there was the story of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. With candles it started in the "mountains" and a short walk we were praying with children. It was a very nice experience because the children were just full of it.
In home we expected a fire and there was the conclusion of worship. Crucifixion-forgiveness!
The children were allowed to write on paper their concerns and then all the papers were burned.
the day and especially the Passover were beautiful, although it was sometimes a bit messy - but that's 28 children and 9 Tios also normal
:-) I am very grateful that we could spend with the children such a beautiful day and especially night!
