new urban model
After our lunch in the cafeteria of the Technopa rk s lead our way through the city of Zurich to Zurich North. We were competently by Hans Elsasser, Emeritus Pr ofess or out in economic geography at the University Zurich, and had the opportunity a modern and historical model of the city of Zurich to see. Our visit to Zurich North or Oer Likon presented an interesting contrast to Zurich West dar. As a former liges industrial area (mainly by the Oerlikon MFO, now used by ABB), it developed rapidly as Zurich West and offers a different atmosphere. This rapid change is reflected in a strong dominance of very modern housing developments, coupled with some futuristic-designed parks, which form a bridge to the past .
